I officially started with Ayala Land last March 15,2011, so today marks my second monthsary with the company. Just to give everyone a short backgrounder, I used to worked with a call center in IT Park. I was in the so called "Graveyard Shift" for two years. My average pay is around 25K a month, not including commission. It was financial freedom for me!
When I transferred to Ayala Land, we are given a monthly allowance just enough for our transportation expenses. At first it was hard (until now...) but the opportunity is endless! As they say, sales is a 24/7 job! So far, my prospects are growing. To be exact, I have 349 prospects from manning booths, mall saturation, and showroom walk-ins and this is still growing. And if your familiar with the sales funnel, 1000 prospects would only convert to 1 sale, so I am still far behind.
You might be asking, do I have regrets transferring from my previous job to Ayala Land? The money is stable in my previous job, I have financial freedom, life was great! But I don't believe in the saying "its all about the money" because its not!
There are three main reasons why I transferred to Ayala Land and I never regret that I did. FIRST, Time. Time not only for myself, but also to the people I love. When I was still a callboy (that's what you call those people who work with the call center industry) I never had quality time with my wife. If I'm working, she's sleeping. When she's working, I'm sleeping.
SECOND, Relationship. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that your relationships will be ruined when you're in the call center industry. If you are both working in the same industry, both are members of team twilight (since you're awake at night, sleeping at day) then there's no problem. But if your schedule is opposite, then that's when the problem comes in.
THIRD, COMPANY. I would not have transferred if it was just any company. Since this is Ayala Land and I am a part of one of the biggest corporations in the Philippines, I know I will be in good hands, and I don't mean the bank!
You only regret something when you did not even attempt on doing it. I am never afraid to try anything new, and being with Ayala Land so far has been the best decision I have made in my life. I believe if something is meant for you, it will be given to you. As long as I will do everything I can, then there is not reason why I won't be successful.
